Our Classic Design BJJ Gi for Ultimate Functionality on the Mat

What's the thinking behind this project?

maveriik-white-giWe’re driven by our love and passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and we know what it takes to design a classic gi that can handle the rigors of training. We’re done with the over-the-top designs and flashy aesthetics that have taken over the market. That’s why we’ve decided to bring things back to minimalist basics with our own Driift gi. Our goal is to create a gi that’s both aesthetically pleasing and functional, with a focus on simplicity and practicality. We’re not afraid to push the limits and create a gi that is robust and agile enough to handle any condition, whether it’s for everyday training or competition. When you train with our gear, you’ll be able to withstand the rigors of the mat and feel confident that your suit wont let you down. When purchasing our gi, you can expect a memorable experience from start to finish. Trust us, we’re not messing around when it comes to a quality product.

What should be considered when looking to buy a gi?

When looking for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gi, it’s important to consider the material, fit, brand, price, and type. Look for a gi made from durable, breathable material like cotton or a cotton blend. Avoid gis made from synthetic materials, as they may not hold up as well during training. It’s also important to find a gi that fits you well, with adjustable waistbands and sleeves that allow you to customize the fit. There are many reputable brands that make high-quality gis, so do your research and read reviews to find a brand that is known for making durable gis that hold up well during training. Gis can range in price from around £75 to £200 or more, keep in mind that a higher price does not always equate to a better gi. There are also different types of gis available, including single-weave, double-weave, pearl and gold weave. Single-weave gis are the lightest and most affordable, but may not be as durable as other types. Double-weave gis are heavier and more durable, but can be more expensive and warm in the summer. Gold weave gis are a balance between the two, offering both durability and a lighter weight.
