This artwork tells a layered story of communication and memory, blending nostalgia with hidden meaning like all other Szylk Wane pieces. Woman in centre an ordinary citizen whose eyes are blurred with lies, while the vibrant payphones symbolise lost connections. The fox tails in the background hold a deeper significance, representing cunning and the dual nature of communication—truth and deception wittiness and misdirection. Like the fox, messages slip through the cracks, elusive and fleeting.

The piece nods to The Matrix, where reality and illusion intertwine. The fox tails evoke “following the white rabbit,” but with a twist—the fox as a trickster suggests that truth is ever-shifting. The graffiti and neon colours reflect the digital chaos of modern life, while the coiled ropes hint at being tethered to the past. This artwork is an invitation to chase meaning in the chaos, to follow the fox, and uncover what lies hidden in our connections.
