Skateboarding Fun at Peartree Park: A Perfect Day for Beginners

On Wednesday, Peartree Park became the perfect setting for a special skateboarding event designed to introduce beginners to the sport. Hosted by qualified Driift’s Skateboard GB coaches, the day was all about making skateboarding accessible to everyone, regardless of experience or background.

To ensure everyone could participate safely, we provided all the necessary equipment—decks, pads, and helmets—allowing newcomers to focus on learning without any worries. The ramps used during the event were hand-made, adding a personal touch that reflected the care and dedication we put into organizing the day.

Our mission went beyond just teaching the basics of skateboarding. We aimed to demonstrate how skateboarding can be a positive force for the community, breaking down barriers and fostering connections among local residents. The event was an opportunity to show that skateboarding is more than just a sport; it’s a way to bring people together and build a stronger, more inclusive community.

In addition to the skateboarding sessions, representatives from the council were present to engage in meaningful discussions with locals about the future of Peartree Park. This was a chance for the community to voice their opinions and ideas, ensuring that the park can continue to serve as a valuable space for everyone.

Overall, the day was a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to highlight the benefits of skateboarding and to strengthen ties within the local community.
